I made you a god

Multiverses praised the odd

My home was your home in my heart

Everything I owned I gave you

without a but

Is that an epilogue?

My heart sank when you got

that travelogue

I’ve seen this before let’s skip the dialogue

Close the door and take the knob

It’s an enlightenment then madness

Freedom, self-willed lightning rod

Misuse misuse missus

Your worshippers are demagogues

Using you, using you, isu

ungod,

Your holy temple desecrated

Daily sacrifices red a stop

No prayer, no worship, only empty devotions

Your compassion abused and unloved

Unwinged,

Even the corn on the fields still splendor

The Nile still glows in the dark

The sun is a creation but you are a god

scavenging for swines’ crumbs

Where’s your head, where’s your heart

Why a stone when there’s a harp

You were at a place that even heaven envies

Now at a place rejected by frogs

Your Majesty, your home awaits you

Kept clean by Harmattan and Cosmic rays

You were forgiven before you were conceived

I’ll wait eternity for you to regod

Be gracious to yourself in your journey, Your Majesty.
